Boy Scout Leaders
Announcements
Roundtable
All Boy Scout leaders are invited the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. to participate in the Boy Scout Roundtable at the Scout Service Center. Each month a new theme is presented to help each Troop’s leadership provide a quality program to their Scouts. Upcoming events will be announced at each roundtable and leaders can share ideas with other Troop leaders and ask questions to the roundtable commissioner staff. For more information, please contact Nick Nowak at nnowak@bsamail.org.

Hello, April 2010
I’m Ronald Dresslove the new Dean of Merit Badges. I will be approving your applications to register as a Merit Badge Counselor.
The first step will be me calling you over the telephone with a short interview. This is to discuss items such as your specific qualifications to instruct the badges(s) you have applied for, Boy Scouts of America policies regarding Merit Badges and the role of the Counselor. To that end you can expect to hear from me or an assigned representative calling for me, within two weeks after you turn in your application.
If you do not hear from me within two weeks, please call me by phone at my home at 609-894-9604 or email me at rondress@hotmail.com. The email correspondence will not take the place of the telephone interview. If for some reason we are unable to connect for three month your application to serve as a Merit Badge Counselor will be deactivated.
In addition to meeting the qualifications for the Merit Badge you are to instruct, you will need to have active Youth Protection Training. This can be done online at the Boy Scouts of America Web site. Youth Protection Training is good for two years.
Sometime in the near future I plan to have a Merit Badge Counselor Orientation Program.
I would like to thank you for your interest in serving our youth of Burlington County Council, Boy Scouts of America. If I can help or support you in any way please let me know.
Sincerely,
Ronald Y. Dresslove
