MISSION STATEMENT: It is the mission of the Burlington County Council Jewish Committee on Scouting to promote Scouting for Jewish youth by securing new Jewish chartered organizations and by continuing to provide individual Scouts and units with quality programs and services.

On Sunday, July 10th, Scouts, leaders, and parents joined the Jewish War Veterans of Post 126 to collect flags marking the graves of those who served their country in the military. The service project was held at the Crescent Memorial Park in Pennsauken. Hundreds of flags were collected and stored for next year.

JWV Post 126, which meets at Temple Beth Sholom in Cherry Hill, recognizes Eagle Scouts and provides financial support to the Jewish Committee on Scouting to fund its awards workshops and Scout Shabbat onegs.

Congratulations to Troop 36 and Pack 36 at Temple Beth Sholom in Cherry Hill for re-chartering the only Shomer Shabbat Kosher units in Southern NJ. For additional information, email the committee chair.
