Troop 5 - Hainesport

Troop 5 - Hainesport

Summer Camp  2006

Troop 5 enjoyed the week of July 30 - August 5 at
Resica Falls Scout Camp, PA.
The new Scouts enjoyed the First Year Camper program and
the older Scouts worked on merit badges.
We kept cool by frequent trips to the new pool
and some liquid sunshine helped out too!

On Saturday June 3, 2006

Troop 5 paddled down the Mullica River
in canoes. Midway through our trip the heavy rain started!!
Spirits were high despite the inclement weather.
Although the camping weekend was cut
short, the Troop enjoyed a great feast
at the Asst Scoutmaster's (Mr. Eckert) home.

On the weekend of April 28-30th, 2006

On the weekend of March 24-26th, 2006

Troop 5 camped in Bellplaine State Park.
Despite the damp weekend, the Scouts worked on advancement requirements,
Tot'n' Chip and cooking with Volunteer parents taught at different skill stations.
Spirits were high and all the Scouts had a blast!

On the weekend of Jan. 27-29th, 2006

Troop 5 of Hainesport went to Camp Mosey Wood near the Poconos.
There, the Scouts participated in snow skiing,
snow tubing, and other winter activities.
Families and friends attended and all had a great time!

On Thursday November 10, 2005,

Troop 5 participated in the Benjamin Franklin Historical Hike
in Philadelphia. Scouts enjoyed a morning train ride
into the city and promptly began their hike around the city.
They were amazed at the multitude of contributions that
Benjamin Franklin gave this country during its early years.
The last stop was a respectful visit to his grave site.

The Scouts had lots of fun hiking in the city,
learned about a great historical figure in U.S. history
and all who participated earned the Historical Trail Medal!
