Looking For Experienced Scouters
Become a Unit Commissioner!!

If you’ve had experience in running a Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop, and/or a Venture Crew, and you want to share your knowledge, why not consider volunteering to be a Unit Commissioner at Burlington County Council. We are in need of people who are willing and able to help two or three scout units close to you. Here are some of unit commissioner’s responsibilities:

  • Help each unit earn the Quality Unit Award.

  • Visit meetings of the Pack/Troop/Crew about once a month.

  • Visit regularly with the Unit Leader.

    • Listen to what he or she has to say.

    • Offer encouragement and support.

    • Maintain good Unit Leader relationship.

    • Encourage unit participation in district and council events and training.

  • Work to ensure effective unit committees.

    • Visit the unit committee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement and work to solve problems.

You will receive training and support for this critical job. More importantly, you’ll be giving back to the Boy Scouts of America and to the volunteers that are the lifeblood of scouting. Please call 1-609-261-5850 and leave a message for Corky Lowe , Council Commissioner to learn more or to volunteer. Our kids thank you!
