Pine Tree Environmental Center was established in October of 1993. Pine Tree is Burlington County Council’s primary training and camping facility. Click here to see a map.
The camp has six heated cabins, each equipped with six double bunk-beds (with mattresses) and has a capacity of 12. Each cabin also has a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, sink, cabinets, stove and oven. Each also has a bathroom with a hot shower. Most cabins have a fireplace. There is one handicap accessible cabin.
The two-story, handicap accessible, Conference Center is located in the center of camp. It has five bedrooms including a Scoutmaster Quarters and two baths on the second floor with a total sleeping capacity of 20. The first floor is a large open room that can be used in a variety of ways. There are ten tables available and 100 chairs. The Conference Center has a large stone fireplace. It also has a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer and a large commercial stove/oven. There are three restrooms as well.
The handicap accessible Lodge is located near the Conference Center and is a one story building. The Lodge has a seating capacity for 100 (auditorium-style) and 80 comfortably for dining. The Lodge kitchen is a full commercial kitchen with a walk-in refrigerator a commercial dishwasher, a commercial stove, a commercial griddle and two commercial ovens. It can fulfill all your dining needs.
The Pavilion is Pine Tree’s large outdoor training area. The Pavilion has audio-visual aids for your training needs.
Pine Tree has a full service Trading Post stocked with all your camping essentials and an Orinteering Course.
Nearby is Batsto Village, a historically preserved colonial town, which has many seasonal, weekend activities. If you enjoy the outdoors, there are endless trails through the pinelands. Pine Tree also has canoes & trail bikes available for rent so you can try canoeing on the Mullica, Oswego, Batsto or Wading Rivers or exploring the many trails in the Pine Barrens.
